SwedenPosition Description
Who are we?
Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg secures our customers’ success by leading efficient development of the premium vehicles FH, FM and FMX.
As product owners we continue to develop the most profitable heavy duty truck solutions in the industry. We work as One development team: supporting each other to secure delivery according to decided product plan, and we proactively recommend new technologies for future customer needs.
We are now looking for a Strategy & Operational Excellence Manager (OEM), who will lead the development of the operation, develop the target image and lead various strategic investigations and activities for the organization. The OEM will be a member of the VE Gothenburg management team, work with all managers in the organization and report to VP VE Gothenburg.
What will you do?
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the department's strategic focus work, including status follow-up and reporting. This entails monitoring the progress of ongoing initiatives and providing regular reports on their status. You will also take the lead in implementing both long and short term strategic actions and tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
As the line representative, you will act as the face of the department in both local and global networks and meetings. Your role will involve ensuring effective communication and supporting collaboration within and across different technology and site departments. Additionally, you will actively participate as a member within the OEM and VE Communication networks, contributing to relevant discussions and initiatives.
Securing the definition, follow-up, and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be an essential part of your responsibilities. You will play a key role in planning, documenting, and following up on actions resulting from the Management team's strategy days/meetings.
Collaboration with the Way of Working team is crucial, as you will support and secure efficient processes and relevant involvement from Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg. In addition, you will represent Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg towards the VE VGU reference group, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
Your role will also involve leading defined tasks and activities related to education and competence development within Vehicle Engineering Gothenburg. By doing so, you will contribute to the continuous improvement and growth of the department.
Who are you?
As our preferred candidate you have experience from various product development roles within the transportation industry and preferably leadership experience. You also communicate well in English.
You have strategic mind set and strong business focus. You have excellent communication and presentations skills. Ability to motivate and lead transformation and change will be a key success factor. You also have the ability to drive delivery of results in a multidimensional environment and to build relationships cross departments, sites and cultures.
We adopt a continuous selection process so make sure to apply as soon as possible. Interviews will be held continuously with pause for vacation period during w29-w32. We look forward to receiving your application!
